The Simplified Agricultural Information System (SISA) was presented, an initiative aimed at reducing the amount of paperwork carried out by agricultural producers.

The main characteristics of this registry are:

DIGITAL: The registration and control are online, also the notification by DFE (Electronic Tax Domicile).

SIMPLE: It will save time, since the sworn declarations are reduced from 7 to 2. A Sworn Statement will be presented for fine harvest and another for thick.

SCORING: A better fiscal performance lower fiscal pressure. Those who have better scoring will have 5% VAT withholdings and will not suffer any deductions for profits.

EFFICIENCY: The cross-linking of data between AFIP – SENASA – INASE – Ministry of Agribusiness will eliminate the duplication in the information load that occurred, for example when informing the production in INASE and then in productive capacity AFIP.

How to make the most of the benefits of the SISA?

SISA can improve the tax planning of agricultural enterprises. A direct positive impact will be the greater liquidity. Up to now, an active producer is retained 2% of Profits in the sale. With the new system for good behavior no retention will be made. With respect to VAT, while previously 8% was withheld and 7% was returned to 60 days: now 5% will be withheld and the total amount withheld will be returned after 45 days.

In order to obtain these benefits, producers must work with their accounting teams to:

Present the determinative and informative sworn statements on time.

Regularize overdue presentations.

Cancel the obligations at maturity or regularize them through payment plans.

Track the scoring to stay at “low risk”.

Likewise, the reduction of retention rates will have a great impact on the non-accumulation of balances in favor of the treasury that were not recoverable.

Lower administrative costs for small and micro agro enterprises

By having unified regimes, administrative times and costs are reduced. Likewise, face-to-face presentations at public offices and unification of documentation controls that will be systemic are eliminated. This factor will benefit small and micro agro companies that outsource the task of registration in specialists.

On the other hand, agro companies that have accounting equipment, may allocate time to other tasks that add value.
